Why Celebrate?
As I write this, my friends and I are celebrating that Hillcrest Women’s Medical Center has been closed for more than a week. Who would celebrate that?! It sounds like a lovely place: Hillcrest Women’s Medical Center. It was a wretched place. As a staunch pro-life advocate and sidewalk counselor, I’ve always opposed any business doing abortions. Even in the best of conditions, abortion facilities are the place of nightmares. They are places where death is palpable. Hillcrest

"Be quiet, boy."
I've been busy for the past several days. I was at Liberty University, watching very dear friends graduate from law school, during President Donald Trump's commencement address. I also spent a day in Washington D.C. pursuing a few career opportunities. Unfortunately Hillcrest has been busy, too. Last Wednesday they committed eight abortions.
Although they had a higher number of patients, Hillcrest actually decreased the number of staff! One of their employees did not come th

Undefeated Courage
This is my new Undefeated Courage hat! Thank you, Becky, for the unexpected, and most appreciated, gift. Today I was able to go and join Undefeated Courage for the second time this week. There were three more abortions at Hillcrest Women's Medical Center today. Every abortion is a tragedy, and seeing it multiple times a week can be very draining. Fortunately I am never alone at Hillcrest. The Undefeated Courage team is always there, and they are full of joy and life. From the

Accident at Hillcrest
There was a car accident, and three people died at Hillcrest Women's Medical Center in Harrisburg yesterday! A woman was leaving Hillcrest in obvious distress. She hadn't had any procedure that morning, but she was in tears as she drove fast down the driveway. She put her turn signal on, and didn't look at the pro-life sidewalk advocates as they tried to warn her she was turning the wrong way! Front Street is one way after Division, and this is just a few blocks from that cha

Darkness and Life
Today at Hillcrest Women's Medical Clinic in Harrisburg, we were doing sidewalk advocacy once more. There are highs doing this work. Good Friday was a high - we got to help a woman choose life that day! There are also lows doing this work. This morning I had a woman flip me off, another blew smoke from her cigarette in my face as she ignored my offer of help, another woman told me to "F*** off!" as she got something out of her car, and another woman said that I must have "som

Death is Conquered
Hillcrest Women's Medical Center wasn't supposed to be open on Good Friday. They aren't ever open in the afternoon. So when I got the text that the abortion facility was opening up at noon on Friday, I was surprised. I wouldn't have been able to go if they were open in the morning. I wouldn't have been able to go if they were open on Saturday. So the fact that they opened at noon on Friday gave me the chance to go. I drove over to Harrisburg to help women who were getting abo

Holy Wednesday
Today is Holy Wednesday in the Church calendar. For Christians, this week is the time we dedicate in remembrance and celebration of the work of Jesus Christ - who came as a man to bear our sins on the cross. Friday is Good Friday, the day Christ was crucified - he who knew no sin becoming sin for us. It is a holiday week, and every woman who has abortions this week will be reminded every year this holiday comes. Three women had abortions at Hillcrest in Harrisburg today. Beca

Those Who Come Back
Yesterday I had trouble with my computer, and so wasn't able to write about Undefeated Courage's sidewalk advocacy. There were ten sidewalk advocates and prayer warriors at Hillcrest in Harrisburg yesterday. We prayed for the end of abortion. We called out lovingly to every person who went in to the abortion facility. We gave out information about free health resources in the area. Ten of us were there for Dr. Thweat, assisted by five staff, who aborted five children. Last we

Worth The One
There were sixteen clients in and out of the abortion facility yesterday. Twelve were there for abortions. A dozen abortions. Twelve pre-born human beings were killed in the womb. Some from as far away as Delaware. The parking lot was so full that people began to park in the driveway, blocking traffic. [They had to come out and move their cars later.] The weather was freezing. Although it was warmer compared to last week, the wind was coming up off of the river and piercing r
